Julie Haushalter, CEO White Oak Lavender Farm & Vineyard
5060 Newcomer Lane
Harrisonburg, VA 22801

Julie began White Oak Lavender ten years ago on her personally owned historical farm. She began with a business model that centered around selling her hand made products at her local farmer's market 2 times per week. Today, her business is a year round agritourism venue that includes a gift shop, farm education, animals to view, events, a wine tasting room and online sales. She is also the founder of My Lavender Lifestyle, a national direct sales business focused on marketing and selling her farm products through home parties.

Julie's background is also in teaching the hearing impaired and in school administration. After attending seminary and being ordained as a United Methodist Pastor in the Virginia Conference, Julie served for ten years as a campus pastor in Harrisonburg while developing the lavender farm. She has a love for mentoring others and a passion for helping farm businesses thrive.

"I consider myself to be always 'in training' when it comes to developing my business and managing a crop. From the beginning of my business, I have sought out others with more experience to gain knowledge in the areas where I need to grow. I am happy to offer my own experiences with others while sharing ideas and encouragement. "
