We get it - fall it busy. You don't have a lot of time to put dinner together between school, sports, livestock, and life in general. Slow cookers are a great way to help with this - put the meal together, stick it in the slow cooker and come home to a ready to eat meal!
Fall is also squash season, and there are tons of different squash that can be used in a variety of ways. We love the acorn squash in this recipe - sweet and slightly nutty it is the perfect size for 2-3 servings per squash and two fit perfectly in a "standard" size slow cooker. Combine that with other flavors of fall - sage, molasses and apple cider (or juice) and you have a delicious meal that comes together easily! Pair this with a salad and some rolls and you have a great meal!
