Delicious, Nutritious...Beef!

You may have heard us mention that May is Beef Month…did we mention how excited we are (it runs a tight race with Dairy Month in June around here…more on that later!)?  Beef is a great source of protein – lean protein if you choose lean cuts of meat or hamburger with a higher percentage of lean, and it is packed with important nutrients…and we personally love the taste!
 
When people think of beef they normally think of steaks and burgers, which are both great.  But beef can be used in so many different ways.  To celebrate that this month, we have shared three beef recipes on our Recipe page using beef in somewhat “nontraditional” ways…
 
If you love that steak but need to eat more veggies, you’ll definitely want to check out our Flank Steak Salad.  You can customize it many different ways, and it is always delicious!
 
If you have some ground beef in your refrigerator but are not in the mood for burgers, be sure to take a look at our Asian Beef Lettuce Wraps.  Lean ground beef, Asian flavors and lettuce combine for a health main course or a great appetizer!
 
And finally, if you love beef so much you want to have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, check out our Beef Breakfast Burritos!  This TexMex inspired breakfast is filling and nutritious!
