Tis the Season For...

Things we love about fall:
  • Cooler nights (and mornings)
  • Sweaters/Sweatshirts
  • Leaves changing
  • Fall calving
  • Crisp days (okay, maybe not quite yet, but they are coming!)
  • Fall festivals (and pumpkins!)
  • Apple season!
  • Harvest season

With the cooler days we have been enjoying recently, it finally feels like fall it on its way.  This is a favorite time of year for many people - the super hot days of summer are behind us but we haven't quite entered the chilly days of winter.

Between apple harvest (yay for pick your own and fresh pecks of apples at the farmers market!) and fall vegetables, this is also a delicious time of year (yes, we do focus on food a lot around here).

Did you also know that October is:
  • National Eat Better, Eat Together Month
  • National Apple Month
  • National Caramel Month
  • National Sausage Month
  • (And we're sure we're probably missing a few!)

With that in mind it is a perfect time to share some great "fall" recipes.  From comforting stuffed peppers, to delicious baked apples and caramel apple dip; and let's not forget slow cooker sausage stuffed acorn squash which is perfect for busy nights when having a ready made dinner makes life just a little easier; we're excited to share these recipes with you!  Enjoy the stuffed peppers or acorn squash as a family and have a delicious, balanced meal together!  Finish it off with some baked apples, or even fresh apple slices with caramel apple dip!

Which one is your favorite?  Do you have a favorite fall recipe to share?
