Farm Aid Grant Program

This organization is awarding grants in three different categories to 501(c)(3) nonprofit (family farm and rural service) organizations that support family farm agriculture.
 

Virginia Department of Agriculture’s AFID Grant Program

The Governor’s Agriculture and Forestry Industries Development (AFID) Fund is a discretionary, performance-based economic development incentive specifically for agriculture and forestry value-added or processing projects.

An AFID facility grant is awarded to a political subdivision for the benefit of the company, with the expectation that the grant is critical to the success of the new or expanding facility. The grant amount and terms are determined by the Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry and approved by the Governor.

The Farm Bureau Innovation Challenge

The Farm Bureau Ag Innovation Challenge is a national business competition for U.S. food and agriculture startups. The American Farm Bureau Federation, in partnership with Farm Credit, awards $145,000 in startup funds to entrepreneurs who compete throughout the year, culminating at a live pitch competition at the AFBF Annual Convention. www.fb.org/land/ag-innovation-challenge-2020
