Learn about the biology and ecology of mushrooms in agriculture and forestry, and low-tech methods to grow many gourmet and medicinal species. Discussions will also include:  farm diversification with mushrooms, harvesting and post-harvest handling, marketing, and utilization of mushroom growing byproducts. The hands-on activity is mushroom log inoculating and each person will take a log home. There is an opportunity for participants to receive free spawn in exchange for information about their growing experience. More details will be available at the workshop.
