The search bar is at the top right of the screen. Click on it and type any word or phrase related to what you’re looking for.

1. How do I find the article I want to download or print?

Look for the book icon next to the article title. Then click on the grey accordion bar to open the article.

2. How do I print an article?

  1. Navigate to the upper right corner of the article.
  2. Click on the three dots to open the drop-down menu.
  3. Select “Print this file.”
  4. Choose your printer settings and click Print.

3. How do I download an article?

  1. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the article.
  2. Select “Download this file.”
  3. The article will download instantly to your computer.
  4. Open and save the file for future use.

4. Can I save the article for offline access?

Yes! After downloading, you can store the file on your computer for easy access anytime.

5. Why use the download or print feature?

It allows you to keep important resources handy, whether you prefer digital files or printed copies for quick reference.

Tip: Use the three-dot menu for quick access to both print and download options.

1. What are the accessibility tools?

The Knowledge Center includes built-in accessibility tools that allow you to customize how content is displayed, making it easier to read and navigate based on your preferences.

2. How do I access the accessibility tools?

Navigate to the bottom right corner of your screen and click on the green icon showing a person inside a circle. This will open the accessibility tool menu.

3. What customization options are available?

You can:

  • Adjust contrast (three options available)
  • Highlight links
  • Increase font size
  • Enable dyslexia-friendly text
  • Change text alignment
  • Modify line spacing and saturation
  • And more!

4. How do I apply or remove a setting?

  • Click the desired tool to apply it.
  • Click the same option again to remove the effect and return to the original settings.

5. How do I reset all changes?

Select “Reset All Accessibility Settings” from the menu to restore the default formatting.

6. Who can I contact for additional help?

Farm Transition Planning Course

1. What is the cost for the course?

There is no cost to take the course. It is a benefit of being a customer-borrower of Farm Credit.

2. How long does it take to complete the course?

The time will vary depending on your operation’s situation.
Tip: We recommend working through one module per month to stay on track.

3. What materials do I need to take the course?

  • A computer with internet access
  • If printing materials: a printer (color preferred, but black and white works)
  • If keeping materials digitally: download the suggested file structure from the Course Materials section on the homepage

4. Do I need the Farm Credit University Farm Business Transition Workbook?

The course refers to some workbook pages, but it is not required.
The workbook can be a great additional resource.

5. Do I have to take the modules in a specific order?

No, you can take them in any order.
Modules are listed in a suggested order of completion, but you may choose based on your farm’s priorities.

6. Does the Farm Credit Knowledge Center give advice or guidance?

No, the Knowledge Center cannot provide business advice.
Please consult your accountant, attorney, or other professionals for guidance.

Yes! In the Consultant Roles module, you’ll find a list of farm transition planning consultants for the state of Virginia. Please contact your local Farm Credit branch office or loan officer for consultants in other areas.
